THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22

In a nutshell Thursday incorporates an art installation opening with drinks and music: “CACHE” A work by Alberto Gaitán, followed by short academic talks organized by Capitol Pecha Kucha at Boffi Studio, and an after party at L2 for architects, designers and aficionados to meet and mingle.

5:30 INSTALLATION: “CACHE” A work by Alberto Gaitán
This installation transforms used materials into ephemeral art, allowing the DC community to experience and enjoy temporary architecture. Constructed by Alberto Gaitán, this interactive installation will be composed of both reused materials and specialized lighting design. It will be staged in a traditional row house by Cady’s Alley. Defying rigid concepts of design, this installation incorporates everyday functional objects, creating unexpected spaces for the public to engage and explore.
