BarcampDC celebrated its third year at MLK Library. Yes, there were girls there, despite the overlapping She's Geeky event. My 3 intro tags: lifestreamer, shy... {a moment of silence}. Peter Corbett adds: "and out of words."
A large amount of sessions centered around startup strategies--and tech employment. Steph Hay's advice for those seeking web work: "follow instructions." Come on, people! Good thing web firm Whitmoyer was there to give out super awesome megaphones. My notes of Jared Goralnick's session--led with a single slide--are coming. Aarr!
